We're a few days away from Easter but I was finally able to decorate the kid's book shelves this weekend! I think this is one of my favorite things to do for almost every holiday (check out our bookshelf decorated for other holidays here: Halloween / Christmas). It just adds a little pizzazz to our bookshelves and I swear (like snack boards), it makes the kids more inclined to want to grab a book!
EASTER BOOK NOOK
These shelves from IKEA ($16) are the bomb.com! We have the longer size but they come in a shorter size as well. I love that they have a ridge on the inside of shelf so nothing slides or moves around. They've been awesome!
I'm slowly adding to our Easter collection but truthfully, it's been easier to find books about bunnies and spring. Here's what we've added so far:
- Bunny Bus
- E is for Easter by Greg Paprocki
- Creepy Carrots! (Creepy Tales!) by Aaron Reynolds
- Easter by Roger Priddy
- How to Track an Easter Bunny by Sue Fliess
- The Honeybee by Kirsten Hall
- The Good Egg Presents: The Great Eggscape by Jory John
- Bunny Roo, I Love You by Melissa Marr
- There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed A Chick by Lucille Colandro
- Eggs Are Everywhere by Chronicle Books
Garlands are my favorite thing to decorate with! Unfortunately, the egg lights and the bunnies are from the Target Dollar Spot last year. The colorful pom pom one is also from last year but this year, they have so many different color pom pom garlands to choose from - under $10!
